I couldn't find a picture of Ollie Kite so here's one of Jack Hargreaves. Anyone who saw the TV series will remember his lovely, slow, soft spoken style. Although I can't remember much now, I can remember the schoolboy version of the theme song: Say what you will, school dinners make you ill, and Davy Crockett died of shepherds pie. All school dindins come from pig bins, out of town. The bins referred to were a hangover from WW2 when every scrap of food waste was saved in bins and collected for pigswill.
