Centre right in this view of Winchester Street, with the double bay windows, is the home of the Sprent family - (see the gallery entitled "People - Sprents and Crimbles". Between that house and the thatched cottage on the right is the very narrow Sprents Lane. Sadly this property was demolished in fairly recent times (?1960's?) and replaced by a red brick building which has little to commend it from an architectural point of view.
