14_1OR05_1 This plaque is on the wall in the ORC. Mrs Miriam Sacher was the daughter of Michael Marks, co-founder of Marks & Spencer stores. She married Harry Sacher in 1915 and he later became a member of the M&S Board. She lived at Berrydown Court and was a generous benefactor of the village. She was particularly generous in helping with the initial finance for setting up the ORC. By Tony Morris
