19_1SG_03_05 Girl Guides in Winchester Street for church parade 20th May 1928. The Overton Girl Guides were established by Margaret Portal and Miss Fox Smith. I don't know if either of them is shown in the photo. The gentleman on the right is Mr Fairchild, servant to Sir Bertram Portal. He is believed to have been a friend of Baden-Powell, having met during the Boer War. From Lynton Bond
